Sunday Morning

Blue Eyes

I can't believe there is a hat too big for her head. Oh wait--this hat is designed for a 4-year-old . . . They get the big heads from me. Sorry kids. You're still adorable!

Playdough with Grandma. This was a dragon. No help.

Love, love, LOVE the BUMBO. For big, heavy heads (like my kids'), this is an ingenious invention. Goodbye, flathead. Wish they'd had these when Ian was a baby . . . did they?

CHEERIO!

The arms, legs, and cheeks just keep getting fatter! No, that's not a bracelet on her wrist.

As a Mother, Pt. I

As a mother of a little boy, I've learned:

Nothing beats roasting marshmallows in the living room with Daddy.

Makeup is not just for girls. It's for little boy cousins who are not supposed to be in the bathroom except to attempt to go potty but who go in anyway, climb on the counter, and smear mascara all over each other's chubby cheeks.

Being naked is a prerogative sometimes.

Little boys are always hungry. Bananas and a fridge lock come in handy every single day.

Planes, trains, and cars find homes in the unlikeliest places.

Things that don't cost a thing are always the most fun .

An apple is good for just one bite, then a new one must be sampled.

Haircuts are necessary evils, accomplished only when adequate entertainment is provided.

There is NOTHING in this world cooler than "Why Queen".

Sisters are pretty hard to hold, but pretty fun to kiss.

Boys love their mommies; mommies love their boys.
